With over 25 years of experience in commercial real estate, Rod Trujillo is a trusted expert in large-scale leasing, acquisitions, and tenant representation across the Central Coast and beyond. His work spans a wide range of clients—from non-profit organizations to corporate tenants—united by a common goal: finding the right space to support long-term success.

Rod’s career in real estate is built on a strong foundation of business and financial expertise. A graduate of Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University, Rod began his professional journey in the Bay Area as a stockbroker, where he developed a deep understanding of markets, investment strategy, and financial decision-making.

After five years in finance, Rod transitioned into commercial real estate, joining one of the nation’s largest owner-operators of regional shopping centers in the United States. In this role, he managed and leased three major regional malls within a portfolio of more than 100 properties, gaining extensive hands-on experience in tenant relations, retail strategy, and large-scale asset management.

Throughout his career, Rod has continued to deepen his industry expertise through active involvement with the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), where he has been a member since 1999. This long-standing affiliation reflects his commitment to staying at the forefront of retail and commercial real estate trends, innovation, and professional development.

Today, Rod focuses on assisting businesses, investors, and organizations identify and secure commercial spaces that align with their operational needs and long-term goals. His approach combines market insight, negotiation expertise, and a practical understanding of how space impacts business success.
